Job pages that match searches
Separate pages for furnaces, plumbing, roofing or snow clearing, built on the words customers type.
Thunder Bay, Ontario gets about 162.9 cm of snow in a typical year and once hit −43.2 °C, in January 1996. A furnace that quits in a cold snap means a phone call within the hour, and that call usually begins with a Google search. The crews who get it have listings that already say what they fix and where they go.
The searches are blunt: thunder bay furnace repair, thunder bay heating and cooling, thunder bay snow removal services. Roofers see thunder bay metal roofing and thunder bay roofing siding and gutters, a hint that people want one crew for the whole exterior.
Beyond the city limits the jobs change. Lots in Shuniah, Oliver Paipoonge and Neebing rely on septic tanks and private wells, so thunder bay septic pumping and thunder bay well drilling appear in the suggestions as well. A contractor who names those townships gives rural owners a reason to call rather than guess.
Search demand
Taken letter for letter from Google.ca autocomplete in October 2026. The notes say what each searcher is weighing up.
Three questions settle most of these calls: how quickly you can come when the temperature drops, whether you travel to their road, from Current River to well past the city line, and whether you hold the right licence. Answer all three plainly and a small crew can outdo a larger firm whose pages only promise “quality service”.
Where calls leak
What we look for first on a Thunder Bay contractor’s website and Google listing.
One “Services” page listing furnaces, roofs and drains cannot match three different searches. Give each main job its own page.
If the listing never mentions Shuniah or Kakabeka Falls, rural owners assume you do not go there, and Google has nothing to match them with.
If someone answers your phone at night in January, say so on the listing and the site, or the urgent searches pass you by.
Gas appliance work falls under the Technical Standards and Safety Authority, electrical contracting under the Electrical Safety Authority, and trade certificates come from Skilled Trades Ontario. Show the ones that apply.
The work
Separate pages for furnaces, plumbing, roofing or snow clearing, built on the words customers type.
The neighbourhoods and townships you cover, on your site and in your Google Business Profile.
Night and weekend availability entered exactly, and changed whenever your on-call rota changes.
Short updates before the first hard freeze, at spring thaw and ahead of eavestrough season.
One text or email link for every customer, with replies written in your own voice.
Calls, quote requests and direction taps from Google, set out in one short report.
Done carefully
Every trade has its own rules and regulators. These are the limits we keep on this kind of work.
If your truck does not make it out to Neebing in February, your website should not suggest it does.
Homeowners can look up licences, and the Competition Act covers misleading advertising, invented reviews included. We write only what your crew can back up: real service areas, real response times, real certificates.

Questions
Spring and summer are quieter, and the customer who finds you in January is the one who books a tune-up or a new roof later. Pages for the jobs you want more of also tend to bring more of them.
Yes, if you really serve them. We add them to your Google Business Profile service area and write a page on your out-of-town work, from septic and well jobs to camp roof repairs.
Suggestions such as pest control thunder bay price list show people want a ballpark first. A starting price or range, with what moves it, usually brings better-matched calls. Nothing goes up without your sign-off.
Fixes to hours, categories and service area can show within weeks. New service pages climb more slowly; most businesses notice steady movement in three to six months. We never promise positions.
Pick Starter, Growth or Pro for $300, $500 or $700 monthly, paid in Canadian dollars with no fixed term. Google Ads management is added in Pro, and the ad budget goes directly to Google. New websites and speed improvements carry their own one-time quote.

Any of these can be taken on its own; many clients begin with just one.
