How long before SEO starts working for a Thunder Bay business?

Most businesses see movement somewhere between three and six months. Fixing a Business Profile can help sooner, sometimes within weeks, while new pages take longer to settle in. Nobody can promise a date, and we will not pretend to.

How do I make it clear to Google where my business is?

Through details that match everywhere: your street address, the 807 area code and “Thunder Bay, Ontario” on your site, your Business Profile and every directory. Searches such as “thunder bay dentist” or “thunder bay accountant” then have a clear answer, and Google can show you to people nearby with confidence.

Does it matter whether my customers are on the north side or the south side?

It can. Map results depend partly on where the person searching is standing, so a business in Westfort may rank differently for someone in Current River. Naming your street and the areas you serve, and collecting reviews from customers right across the city, helps you appear beyond your own few blocks.

I also take jobs in Shuniah, Oliver Paipoonge and Neebing. Do those need their own pages?

Only where you genuinely work there. A page for each township that describes real jobs and how you get there can help people outside the city find you. Copies of one page with the place name swapped usually do more harm than good.

What do you actually do for us from month to month?

Some weeks it is listing work: photos, hours, replies to reviews. Other weeks it is a new service page, a heavy image slimmed down or a directory entry put right. At month end you get a short report on calls, messages and positions, and on Pro your Google Ads are managed alongside.

How much does it cost?

Three plans: $300, $500 or $700 a month, all in Canadian dollars. There is no long-term contract to sign. Pro adds Google Ads management; the clicks themselves are billed to you by Google. Website builds and speed fixes get a separate one-off quote once we have audited the site, while everyday upkeep sits inside every monthly plan.

Does winter change what people search for?

A great deal. Furnace repair, snow removal, winter tires and heating and cooling searches build as the cold sets in, while summer brings fishing, camps and patios. We plan pages and listing updates ahead of each season so you are visible when that demand shows up.

Can you guarantee a top spot on Google Maps?

No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Google sets the order, partly by how near a business is to the person searching. What we can do is make your listing complete, accurate and active, and build the reviews and pages that give Google good reasons to show it.

Should we put money into Google Ads or SEO first?

If the phone needs to ring this month, ads are faster, but they go silent the day the budget runs out. SEO builds slowly and keeps paying. A common route for Thunder Bay owners is a small ad budget while rankings grow, then moving money across as organic calls pick up.

Do you only work with businesses inside the city limits?

No. We work with businesses across the district, from Murillo and Kakabeka Falls to Shuniah and Neebing, and with Thunder Bay firms that sell throughout Northwestern Ontario. The method stays the same; the research shifts with where your customers are.
